Focused United Engaged Leaders (FUEL) kicks off its first Leader Lunch. Event takes place January 31st, at the Franklin Business Incubator located at 601 N. Mechanic Street, Franklin. Noon - 1PM in the first floor conference room. Keynote speaker will be John J. Smolak, President of Franklin Southampton Economic Development, Inc. Sponsored by the Franklin Southampton Chamber of Commerce. Seating is limited to 20. Tickets $10/person includes lunch. Reservations required by January 27th by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at 757-562-4900. Leader Lunches, to be held once a quarter were established to connect local young professionals to community leaders and the organizations in which they serve. The mission of FUEL is to strengthen the community by uniting focused and energized young professionals in business through networking, community service and social opportunities.

Course held at the Hertford County Cooperative Extension Office in Winton, NC. Course offered for private and commercial applicators. From 1-3PM -- 2 hours of V credit. From 3 - 5PM -- 2 hours of credit for all categories except V and P. If your certification expires in 2012, Commercial applicators have until June 30th to complete their continuing education hours and Privale Applicators have until September 30th.
